Executive Master in Neuropsychiatry & Psychogeriatrics

The Executive Master in Neuropsychiatry and Psychogeriatrics is an advanced training program designed for healthcare professionals wishing to deepen their knowledge and skills in the fields of neuropsychiatry and psychogeriatrics. The program aims to provide an in-depth understanding of psychiatric disorders affecting people with neurological disorders and the elderly, and to develop practical skills for their management.

Assessment

Assessment is organized in two parts :

  1. The first part consists of a distance-learning MCQ exam covering the various parts of the Executive Master’s program.
  2. The second part consists in the submission of an end-of-course paper, in the form of a scientific article advancing the state of the art in neuropsychiatry and psychogeriatrics. Articles must be original, methodological or review articles, and must be produced under the supervision of one or more members of the deliberation panel or scientific committee.

Final research project

Candidates must submit their final project plan at the start of training in their application file so that it can be accepted or modified at the beginning of the year (form: 2 pages with background, proposed materials and methods, and a timetable.  Your final project should be an original article of sufficient quality to be submitted to a peer-reviewed journal indexed on SCOPUS or Medline.

Qualifications

  • Neurologists and neurology graduates will be awarded the title of Executive Master in Behavioral Neurology.
  • Geriatricians and graduates in geriatrics will obtain the title of Executive Master in Psychogeriatrics.
  • Psychiatrists and psychiatry graduates will receive the full title of Executive Master in Neuropsychiatry and Psychogeriatrics.
  • Psychologists and physicians from specialties other than those mentioned above will receive the full title of Executive Master in Psychological Interventions for Neuropsychiatric and Psychogeriatric Disorders.

Objectives

  • Understanding the context in which neuropsychiatric disorders are managed: the program offers a detailed study of the various psychiatric and behavioral disorders affecting people with neurological disorders and the elderly, emphasizing a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Developing clinical and therapeutic skills: Participants will acquire practical skills in assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic intervention. Training includes practical workshops, case studies and simulations to develop these skills.
  • Stimulation of research and innovation: Particular emphasis is placed on research and innovation in the field of neuropsychiatry. Participants will be encouraged to contribute to research and innovation in this field.
  • Developing a professional network and interdisciplinary exchanges: The Executive Master offers a platform for establishing a professional network with experts and colleagues in the same field, thus fostering interdisciplinary exchanges and opportunities for collaboration.
